Designed by a professor from the Design Faculty of Qing Hua University, Shanghai, the Opium Bed Chair reflects decades of research into Eastern aesthetics and modern material innovation. Its groundbreaking design earned international recognition when it was invited by the Municipal Government of Seoul to be exhibited at Seoul Design Week 2000, celebrating the dialogue between Asian design traditions and contemporary creativity.

Crafted entirely from LX HIMACS® Acrylic Solid Surface, the piece showcases the material's seamless construction, silky matte finish, and exceptional durability. The monolithic form appears carved from a single block, while the raised frame subtly references the protective enclosure of the traditional Chinese daybed, creating a sense of comfort and architectural elegance.
